Animal feeding tests using Association of American Feed Control Officials (AAFCO) procedures substantiate that Purina ONE Healthy Kitten Formula provides complete and balanced nutrition for the growth of kittens, reproducing females in stages of gestation and lactation, and maintenance of adult cats.

Recommended daily feeding amounts for kittens with normal activity (using standard 8 oz./250 ml measuring cup, which contains approximately 117 g of Purina ONE). Remember food intake requirements vary depending on age, activity and environment, and should be adjusted accordingly.

Kittens generally nibble solid foods at three to four weeks of age. Keep moistened Purina ONE Healthy Kitten Formula available to these kittens at all times. After weaning, at six to eight weeks of age, kittens will normally eat dry or moistened food at will. If water is added, use no more than one part warm (not hot) liquid to three parts Purina ONE Healthy Kitten Formula, changing frequently to ensure freshness.

Purina ONE Healthy Kitten Formula provides all the nutrients needed during reproduction. It is not necessary to add supplemental vitamins or minerals. Food consumption can vary during gestation. Feed the amount needed to maintain ideal body condition in the pregnant female. After the kittens are born, feed the nursing female all she wants to eat. Food intake can double or quadruple during lactation.

Although you’ll be anxious to see the difference Purina ONE can make in your cat, please allow seven to ten days to ease the transition from her current food. Each day, simply feed a little less of the previous food and a little more of Purina ONE until you’re feeding Purina ONE exclusively. This gradual transition will help avoid dietary upsets.
