Hairball Formula

Purina ONE® SMARTBlend® Hairball Formula is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 109.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from The taste of this formula my cat enjoys The vet recommended this formula of food for my cat due to having long hair. She is a Siamese Himalayan cat, and the vet said that if she didn't have this formula, that her fur would bind her up and she needed a good hairball formula food to help get rid of her hairball's and that I would have to have surgery for her if she got bound up. So we have been using this formula now for about 5 years and she loves it. She knows if I am getting in her bucket to get her bowl filled up, she begs for it right then and there. So I know she loves her food.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Review for Urinary Tract Formula My oldest (who has since past away at age 17) had a problem with a urinary tract infection. Once the vet explained to me why I changed his food to Purina for urinary tract control. Did not have any problems since and that is all that I feed to my two boys now and that is all they will eat. I would suggest this for anyone that has male cats as this can be a problem for them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Soft coat, cats love the food My 3 cats eat only Purina One dry foods. They love the foods, never turn their noses up at it, and they have noticeably softer coats with this food. Times in the past when I've purchased other dry foods and then went back to Purina One, I could tell within 1 day the difference in their coats. They get a rotation of Salmon & Tuna, Hairball, and Chicken Tenders.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nine year old loves it and it loves her! My nine year old is long haired and she has had no problems eating the Hairball Formula. She cries if she can see the bottom of her bowl wanting it filled. So I would say she loves it and it loves her! I would recommend anyone with a long haired cat to feed them this food. Oh, and did I mention my girl is a "Big Girl"! She weighs 18 lbs!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from MY CAT HAS HAD SURGERY FOR HAIRBALLS I HAVE A BERMAN WHO HAS HAD BAD PROBLEMS WITH HAIRBALLS. HE HAD SURGERY FOR AN IMPACTED HAIRBALL AND IT COST ME 2,500.00 TO SAVE HIM.SINCE THAT TIME ( 2 YEARS) HE WAS PUT ON PURINA ONEHAIRBALLS FORMULA AND WE HAVE NO PROBLEMS SINCE AND HE LOVES IT. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMENDTHIS CAT FOOD FOR ALL LONG HAIR CATS.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great food BUT why does it need caramel coloring? I like the quality of the food and my cats definitely have been coughing up fewer hairballs. They're fur is the softest it has been in years. However, I am taking a class in animal nutrition so I studied the ingredients. Why does it need caramel coloring? Please Purina, remove the unneeded chemical.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from fewer hairballs My two indoor cats are almost 15 years old & ate a different brand of dry food for most of their lives. A couple of years ago, they both refused to eat that anymore, so I tried this instead, since they've always had hairballs on occasion. They love this & there are fewer hairballs now. Good decision!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Two cats, one food These two are litter mates. The are devoted to bathing each other. Way too much cat hair going back and forth. The Purina hairball formula helps keep the yakking up to a minimum. Now mixing with the weight loss formula because they're also getting pretty porky as they age. Thanks for the choices!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It really works! My 2 yr old has been eating Purina One hairball formula since she was about 6 months old and it sure does work. She's only had maybe 2 or 3 hairball incidents in 2 years. This formula actually works as opposed to what I fed my previous cats. thank you for a wonderful product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My pets enjoy your animal food . The cats it helps with the hair balls I am careful what I feed my dog and cats. My cats are a little fussy with what they eat. If my cats don't like what they are eating they bring dead mice into the house. My dog Wrigley loves purines one his coat is so healthy looking. Thank you Purina

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This food helps. Purina One Hairball formula was recommended to me for my cat ,by my vet. I have a longhaired cat that has problems with hair balls. Once I started giving her this food, the number of hairballs she gets has decreased. She also likes the taste.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Hairball Formula One of our cats has major hairball issues about once per month. We began using the Smartblend Hairball Formula, and we immediately noticed a difference. The price is very reasonable, so it is a good addition to our anti-hairball regimen!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good reviews from my cats. I have 2 indoor cats and they like the Hairball formula mixed with the Salmon flavor. I've tried the fancier & pricier dry cats foods such as Blue & Rachel Ray's brand. My babies won't eat it. They like the Purina brand of products.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cats Prefer It I have four cats. I previously had been feeding Purina Dry Indoor Formula Cat Food, which the cats enjoyed and preferred over other brands. However, I decided to try the Purina One Hairball Formula for my two long haired females. They definitely prefer it to the Indoor Formula, and seem to get by with eating less than they did before. Even though it costs more, I think I will switch all my cats over because they do eat less, so the cost should even out. I have happy, healthy cats thanks to Purina.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Something that finaly works on hairballs Moocher is 13 years old, he's long haired, and we've tried everything over the years to keep him from yakking hairballs. I used to have him shaved every spring, but as he's gotten older I don't like that he has to be sedated to have that done. Purina One had worked for my mom's cat's urinary issues so I thought I'd try the hairball control one for Moocher. And it worked! About halfway into the second bag, there hasn't been a single yakking incident for at least 2 weeks! This is great stuff!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Healthy cat I rescued a four week old Maine Coon and he started eating Purina Kitten Chow right away. As he grew so did his fur and hairball issues began to arise. I put him on Purina one Hairball formula and it got the hairballs under control. He's been eating it for four years now, and I have a healthy, happy, active cat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Chekov gives it two paws up! My Siberian, Chekov, is hooked on the hairball formula. I have purchased other foods on occasion if I was in a hurry and Purina One was not available at that store. He turns up his nose at the others or meows pitifully that he doesn't like it. As he has long hair, he still gets the occasional hairball, but it is rare (and, of course, always on the carpet). I have recommended this particular formula to friends who have medium to long hair cats. Purina One Is Number One.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from First Time User of Purina One Hairball Control I have a 14 year old long hair that has always had problems with hairballs a few times each week. The regular food that I fed him was through a club and I no longer could get it. That was a good thing, as I found this product that worked immediately and my cat loves it. (No more trying to put hairball remedy gel on my finger to hope that he would take it.) After that bag was done I could not remember which one I purchased from Purina One. So I got the 7+ for Seniors, but find that it does not control the hairballs, so I will be going back to this one for sure!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hairball formula covers all... Our cats love the flavor. This formula is easily digested and really does keep the hairballs in check. Also helps keep their coats silky and smooth. Have been using Purina One for both our cats and our dog for several years. If not on the shelf at the pet store, we ask the store clerk to check the storeroom. Would never settle for any other brand.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love it PurinaOne is a little more expensive than the other brands but not as expensive as some others. But having male cats who live indoors, hairballs are an issue and feeding them low magnesium cat food is highly important to me as well due to risk of urinary tract issues that can develop in males fed high magnesium food. One cat has been eating PurinaOne for years, the new cat is being fed the same. They both love it. Very little throw up with Hairball formula versus other types by PurinaOne blends. So we will stick with PurinaOne Hairball formula. (But Vinnie likes Purina Beyond Salmon flavor too).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Happy and Healthy Rocky Road is medium hair cat, and Hazel Marie short hair you wouldn't think a short hair cat would need cat food for hairballs. Since they do groom each groom each other Hazel needs it as much as Rocky. Rocky when she was not getting her hairball cat food she would get sick and so would Hazel. Plus this cat food has a lot of protein which cats need. They are happy and healthy cats now.
