Rated 5 out of 5 by from You helped me save my cat's life! About three years ago my cat Trinket almost died. He had a completely blocked urinary tract caused by a buildup of calcified material. The emergency vet told us that we had caught it and saved his life by a matter of hours. At the vet's office, they told us that Trinket would need to have a special diet for the rest of his life, and sent us home with a prescription for Royal Canin cat food. Anyone who has bought this food before can tell you that the price is exorbitant, and as a full-time student I was not going to be able to continue to buy it. My choices were to either surrender my cat to a shelter, where I was told his "condition" would place him on the kill-list, or to let him eat normal cat food and die painfully at home. Finding this Purina food was sheer chance, and a complete miracle for me. Trinket LOVES this food, and I have been buying and feeding it to him for going on three years now. Thank you, Purina, for helping me to keep my sweet boy healthy and happy. (p.s. My foster kittens love this food too, and are always sneaking over to Trinket's bowl to snack on it!)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Urinary tract problems a thing of the past... It was so hard to watch my big black furry male cat strain to go to the bathroom in his litter box. At first I thought he was having trouble defecating but realized after a day or so that he couldn't urinate. He also stopped drinking and eating. I took him to the vet right away and my vet told me he had only a few short hours to live. He inserted a catheter to flush his bladder and urethra out and placed a stent. He required a catheter for several days that was sutured in. He also needed to where a crown of shame around his neck during that time and to be kept quiet and relatively calm and sequestered. We kept him in the bathroom and specifically in the tub with all his blankets and bedding. It was an incredibly trying and emotionally draining event that I never wanted to go through again. Of course he had to be on a special diet to prevent urinary crystals but the proprietary kibble blend my vet sold me was exorbitant in price. My cousin who is very active in cat rescue steered me to Purinas Urinary Tract health cat formula kibble. I have been using it for 6 years now for both of my cats and they love it! No further problems with urinary crystals. Very affordable alternative to the high priced vet kibble. I highly recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from & year old Female UT infections constantly My oldest female rescued furry child started having UT infections 2 years ago. After several infections coming and going, and several meds, my vet said if these last meds didn't work I'd need to put her on the specialty foods. Being on disability I would not be able to afford the specialty vet brand's, on top of, how would I have her eat it & not eat my other 5's food. I knew that I had noticed a specialty food at Wal-Mart for urinary problems. Right next to the food I already fed them, Purina's Indoor Cats, was Purina's One, for Urinary Tract!! I knew she was not going to just eat the one meant for her. So I had to mix them half & half, then the next week, 3/4 UT & 1/4 indoor & all of the furry kids had to eat the same. I knew that male cats can also get Ut's so it wouldn't hurt the 3 males & 3 females to eat the same. Her infections stopped. Later, I went back to half & half and her infection came back so we are now back to the original mix and she's back to no UT again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tried them all, this is the favorite Our three-year-old Tommy started urinating in smaller and smaller amounts so our vet suggested using a urine catch kit that is a plastic film put over the litter box and with beads that don't absorb urine. He used it without a problem but his urine was bloody so he had three appointments to the vet, big bills, received two types of pill and ten syringes of stuff to put into the lip sac area. We did and he almost died, couldn't walk for a day and his eyes looked dead. We gave him no more of the medicine but did buy Hill's Prescription c/d wet and dry foods. After four days of him refusing to eat either we got the Purina One wet and dry urinary foods. He nibbles at the dry one but absolutely loves the wet one. We've been told that wet foods for cats with crystals is preferred over dry because it gives them more fluid which they need to dilute the urine. So far TommyCat is happier than in days and after another week we'll use another urine catch kit and see if he is well. We're keeping our fingers crossed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Compares to high dollar Prescription Brands-Excellent alternative My Vet put Buddy our 12yr old cat on Royal Canine SO after having two bouts of a UTI and crystals/blood in his urine. This of course is very expensive, as were the other brands he suggested. After researching products online I came across this one and all of the great reviews posted so I thought I would give it a try. I was very weary because this change could potentially make Buddy ill again and cost me thousands more in Vet bills. He and my two other cat's Gracie and Ginger love it! He has been on this for a couple of months now and so far so good. Best part is the affordable price for a quality product. What I really like is that Purina offers promotions and coupons regularly to their customers and I feel appreciated for using their products. My GS dog has been on prescription Hills for over 10 years and I can count on one hand the number of coupons I've received, plus they no longer offer any. I would highly recommend this food.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from "Purrfect" When I started to foster my Sam-E boy almost 4 years ago, he came with Rx food for crystals in his urine. After he finished it, instead of spending $45 on another bag, I researched and decided to try PurinaONE urinary tract health. He is officially mine and we have had no issues ever since with his crystals. He loves his food! I was given another well known brand to try out from my brother and I decided to mix it with Sam-E's PurinaONE urinary tract health food and he ended up having a bad allergic reaction. My 15 year old boy and my newly adopted 1.5 year old kitty, Layla, will be on this food for the rest of their lives. Love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Urinary Tract Formula-Saved the day!! I've been a loyal customer to this brand for over 8 years. My 11 year old cat had serious urinary tract infections due to a high ash content in the food we were buying. Our vet recommended switching to this brand and our cat hasn't had any issues since. We supplement with some cooked chicken for protein since she is an older cat but otherwise this is the only product we use. Reasonable price and my cat seems to love the taste! *HIGHLY RECOMMEND*

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Saved my beloved Cee-Cee My beloved cat developed a serious kidney problem. Being a self funded cat rescue, my money is very tight. I was extremely shocked at the price of ,so called, high end speciality foods. I was crying trying to resolve how I was going to meet all of the animals needs. That's when I discovered Purina Urinary Tract Health solid cat food. After a week of feeding her this product she went from a mere trickle of urine to normal output. I was overjoyed at her relief and turn around. Thank you for providing a cost effective alternative to what seems to be competitive price gouging because a cat is special needs. I will always suggest this product to any other animal lover who has a cat with urinary tract problems.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Money Saver Prescription food from vet is $71 for a 17# bag. I cut Purina 2 to 1 with vet food. All his urinary numbers are still great. No crystals and no blockages for 4 years now. Would highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Problems in the Litter Box My cat Chipotle developed crystals in her bladder a few years back. We were told this was due to a high concentration of acid in her urine. She could barely use the litter box without meowing in pain and when she did we would find small drips of light red blood around the box. After many trips to the vet and the suggestion of surgery, we decided to switch her dry food.Once we switched to Purina One - Urinary Tract health Chippy almost immediately began to feel better and began using the litter box with no issues. I firmly believe that this product not only saved my cats life, but also saved me a boat load of money in surgeries. My only gripe is that in my area it seems to be very hard to find, and when I am able to find it, it's only in small weighted bags. My three cats make short work of that food and I'd like to be able to stock up.In summation, a great product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Quality Specialty Cat Food Our nine yr. old cat Whiskers was diagnosed with a urinary tract infection when he was about a year old. My vet told me he would have to eat a special diet food for the rest of his life. I am very familiar with the high quality of Purina pet food as well as Purina horse feed. And Purina One was , at the time, the only dry food I could find for urinary tract infection.Whiskers really liked his food and still gobbles it down at every feeding. He has never had any more problems and his peers is always normal. Purina foods are the best.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality food which helps my cat While still a young cat, my girl developed urinary infections and nothing worked except a change in food to Purina One Urinary Tract. She is now 6 years old and doing well. Anytime I give in and feed her something different, she develops problems and back we go to Purina One Urinary Tract. Personally, I'd be bored to death with eating the same thing on a daily basis, but she seems to be okay with it. It is more expensive, and I'm on a very close budget, but it works.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My cats love it! I have 5 cats and they all like the flavor of this food. The one that caused me to switch had a urinary tract infection and almost died. The vet wanted us to switch to an expensive canned food that I couldn't afford (and he didn't like the sample we tried anyway), so I decided to try Purina One Urinary Tract Formula, along with an extra helping of canned food (Friskies) each day. He hasn't had any problems since!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My cat LOVES this food! When I got my Doug, he was my first male cat. My mom, having worked at a vet's office for years, warned me that male cats have a tendency to block. She recommended Purina One Urinary Tract. I bought it, but I wasn't sure he would eat it. It's all I've fed him since he came home from the shelter, and he LOVES it! I have to fill his bowl every other day or so. And so far, a year later, no issues...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from After 5-6 UTI's we found a food I could afford My oldest cat had his UTI when he was about 10 years old. With the first one all they did was to give him antibiotics it was the same for the other UTI's. Well on his last one he had they did a surgery to get the stones that would not pass they also wanted to put him on a prescription cat food well with three cats that would get a little pricey and we were on a tight budget. So we turned to different foods and found our brand that we could afford and it was this one. My cats loved it and the greatest thing about it is it's been at least 2 years of starting the food and we have no more problems with my oldest and the two other cats have never had a problem. If I met someone with the same problem I would defiantly suggest this product in a heart beat. Thank you for making this food and bringing back my youthful cat back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Purina Urinary Cat Food My cat was always having urinary infections. He had to go on medication for awhile. The vet said he would need to be on a special diet. He showed me some of his urinary cat food but that stuff is so expensive. I was not able to purchase it. I found Purina's Urinary cat food and my cat has stopped having infections. He is a healthy, happy kitty now. I recommend this food.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The 'BEST" preventative I have always had male cats which are prone to urinary/bladder issues. This great quality food has been literally a lifesaver. Purina One Urinary Tract was recommended to me by my vet. Now it is the only food I feed my cat and he has never had a urinary illness. He loves the food as well - eats it all up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from best food for the cat with urinary issues ! My cat smushy like my cat tigger both of which were orange and whit tabbys had urinary issues . As everyone is aware visits to the vet are very costly and prescription foods are just as costly and most times not as affective as they claim ..I'm a single mother of two with three cats who just happens to be a vet tech .... So I've listened to my vet and paid the high prices blah blah blah but when the economy fell to pieces and my office downsized I was left jobless and couldn't afford expensive Rx foods for them so I needed a solution I always trusted purina for my pets food so one day standing in shop rite I saw the urinary tract health formula and thought why not give it a try ...? Well it worked fabulous... My tigger loved it and was no longer suffering to urinate and he loved the flavor he was on it for years, he was almost 20 years old when he passed away so recently when my youngest cat smushy had to be unblocked do to the same urinary issues ,which is very expensive and an all together awful situation my vet referred to the old Rx food once again ... Well when your faced with it initially you listen to the vet blah blah blah this food is different and will help him lose weight and blah blah blah and it's like 30 $ for 5lbs your like ok and when it dosent work your like what was I thinking so I went back to old reliable purina urinary tract health blend and what a difference still a little pricey but better than 30$ for 3lbs .... I love this product !!!!! I believe in this product !!! I totally recommend you give it a try if your kitty's are suffering and your at your wits end and need a solution...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally I'm soooo glad that Purina has finally produced a cat food that addresses urinary tract problems that many cats, especially older males, have to deal with often. ... and Rambo actually likes it better than the expensive stuff from the vet's office! My budget certainly appreciates the fact it costs about a third of the expensive stuff. My only complaint is that the website where I normally enter my codes for the regular Purina One Indoor for points will not accept the codes for the new Purina One Urinary Tract Health Formula. Rambo likes for me to mix the two half and half........ ;-)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My little Hastey loves this food Late in 2015 my cat Haste started having issues. The vet was unsure if it was due to stress from my other cat Buddy harassing her in the house or if it was from an actual internal problem... so I treated her with medicine, separated them (gave her the whole lower level of my home and him the upper level) and also switched her over to this food. She absolutely loves it and she has not had any issues since. Thank you Purina for making a food like this that is affordable! If it was more expensive, I would be tempted to transition her back to "regular" food and see what happens... but since it is affordable and she enjoys it, I'm not going to take the risk.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A urinary tract health food my cats will eat. One of my two male cats had a urinary tract problem and the vet gave me a wet food for them. They have always had dry and wouldn't touch the wet food. I was delighted to find Purina makes a urinary tract dry food! Now I don't have to worry about him getting sick again. Thank you, Purina.
