Rated 5 out of 5 by from Purina One Urinary Tract Formula One of my cats developed a urinary problem. With two of them, I could not afford to feed them the food for sale recommended by his vet. I bought a bag of Purina One Urinary Tract Formula and since then, have had no further problems. Both kitties love it, in fact, will bang on the cabinet door when they know it's time to eat.Wish this food was included in the perks program for points.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from & year old Female UT infections constantly My oldest female rescued furry child started having UT infections 2 years ago. After several infections coming and going, and several meds, my vet said if these last meds didn't work I'd need to put her on the specialty foods. Being on disability I would not be able to afford the specialty vet brand's, on top of, how would I have her eat it & not eat my other 5's food. I knew that I had noticed a specialty food at Wal-Mart for urinary problems. Right next to the food I already fed them, Purina's Indoor Cats, was Purina's One, for Urinary Tract!! I knew she was not going to just eat the one meant for her. So I had to mix them half & half, then the next week, 3/4 UT & 1/4 indoor & all of the furry kids had to eat the same. I knew that male cats can also get Ut's so it wouldn't hurt the 3 males & 3 females to eat the same. Her infections stopped. Later, I went back to half & half and her infection came back so we are now back to the original mix and she's back to no UT again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tried them all, this is the favorite Our three-year-old Tommy started urinating in smaller and smaller amounts so our vet suggested using a urine catch kit that is a plastic film put over the litter box and with beads that don't absorb urine. He used it without a problem but his urine was bloody so he had three appointments to the vet, big bills, received two types of pill and ten syringes of stuff to put into the lip sac area. We did and he almost died, couldn't walk for a day and his eyes looked dead. We gave him no more of the medicine but did buy Hill's Prescription c/d wet and dry foods. After four days of him refusing to eat either we got the Purina One wet and dry urinary foods. He nibbles at the dry one but absolutely loves the wet one. We've been told that wet foods for cats with crystals is preferred over dry because it gives them more fluid which they need to dilute the urine. So far TommyCat is happier than in days and after another week we'll use another urine catch kit and see if he is well. We're keeping our fingers crossed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from You helped me save my cat's life! About three years ago my cat Trinket almost died. He had a completely blocked urinary tract caused by a buildup of calcified material. The emergency vet told us that we had caught it and saved his life by a matter of hours. At the vet's office, they told us that Trinket would need to have a special diet for the rest of his life, and sent us home with a prescription for Royal Canin cat food. Anyone who has bought this food before can tell you that the price is exorbitant, and as a full-time student I was not going to be able to continue to buy it. My choices were to either surrender my cat to a shelter, where I was told his "condition" would place him on the kill-list, or to let him eat normal cat food and die painfully at home. Finding this Purina food was sheer chance, and a complete miracle for me. Trinket LOVES this food, and I have been buying and feeding it to him for going on three years now. Thank you, Purina, for helping me to keep my sweet boy healthy and happy. (p.s. My foster kittens love this food too, and are always sneaking over to Trinket's bowl to snack on it!)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Compares to high dollar Prescription Brands-Excellent alternative My Vet put Buddy our 12yr old cat on Royal Canine SO after having two bouts of a UTI and crystals/blood in his urine. This of course is very expensive, as were the other brands he suggested. After researching products online I came across this one and all of the great reviews posted so I thought I would give it a try. I was very weary because this change could potentially make Buddy ill again and cost me thousands more in Vet bills. He and my two other cat's Gracie and Ginger love it! He has been on this for a couple of months now and so far so good. Best part is the affordable price for a quality product. What I really like is that Purina offers promotions and coupons regularly to their customers and I feel appreciated for using their products. My GS dog has been on prescription Hills for over 10 years and I can count on one hand the number of coupons I've received, plus they no longer offer any. I would highly recommend this food.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Urinary Tract Formula Saved my baby's life I am so happy to see all of the wonderful reviews for the Purina One UTF. My baby girl Fifi developed urinary tract issues 8 years ago and was in so much pain urinating. She developed crystals. The vet indicated Fifi would have to be on a special diet for the rest of her life and the food he sold me was outrageously overpriced. I didn't know what to do. I purchased it at first but as a single mother it got too expensive. I researched online and came across data indicating Purina One UTF had the same ingredients. My baby girl Fifi is so happy and healthy. I am happy too!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I switched... On my vet's recommendation, I was buying Science Diet cat food with preventative urinary tract infection ingredients. Over the years, although the product was good, the price was, and is, outrageous. I switched to Purina One Smartblend Urinary Tract Formula two years ago and my cat is doing fine and I'm saving money. Thank you for this product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Problems in the Litter Box My cat Chipotle developed crystals in her bladder a few years back. We were told this was due to a high concentration of acid in her urine. She could barely use the litter box without meowing in pain and when she did we would find small drips of light red blood around the box. After many trips to the vet and the suggestion of surgery, we decided to switch her dry food.Once we switched to Purina One - Urinary Tract health Chippy almost immediately began to feel better and began using the litter box with no issues. I firmly believe that this product not only saved my cats life, but also saved me a boat load of money in surgeries. My only gripe is that in my area it seems to be very hard to find, and when I am able to find it, it's only in small weighted bags. My three cats make short work of that food and I'd like to be able to stock up.In summation, a great product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My feral cat I had a wild cat show up in my barn 17 years ago. After a couple of months I could finally pet her and took her to the vet to have her spayed. Within months of her surgery we started with the infections. She was constantly on antibiotics. The vet recommended Hill's Science Diet. I had her on that until the price got out of hand. One day I saw Purina had a urinary tract and switched before I ran out of Hill's to make sure it would work. She's been on it 15 years, is healthy and happy and moved into the house two years ago and hasn't been outside since. It must taste really good because two of my other cats regularly eat her food. The only other food that she will eat since moving into the house is the treats I give all the cats at night. And they're Purina too! Thank you Purina!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Saved My Kitty--And My Bank Account! Our male cat Bonzai was diagnosed with bladder stones about two months ago. The vet prescribed a s/d Hill's diet for him to get rid of them--which I was completely fine with until they said he'd need to be on prescription food for the rest of his life. Considering Bonz lives in a house with 1 dog, 2 other cats, and 4 kids, spending 35 dollars on a 4 lb bag of food every two weeks was not going to be an option! After a lot of researching, I decided to take the risk and go for Purina One, mixing it with the small bag of s/d the vet had given me for a trial.I'm very happy to say that as of two days ago, Bonzai is bladder stone free! He's also eating a lot more often--sometimes I have to hang up a sign so the kids don't take his insistent yelling as a sign he's somehow starving again! I love that Purina One helped him get over his stones AND that it's a food all the cats can enjoy--since anyone with more than one cat will tell you it's near impossible to have them on different diets! The only downside to this product is that there is a certain dye in the food that means if a cat decides to scarf 'n barf on the carpet, it does leave a small stain. But I'd much rather pay for carpet cleaning fluid than super expensive cat food!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from After 5-6 UTI's we found a food I could afford My oldest cat had his UTI when he was about 10 years old. With the first one all they did was to give him antibiotics it was the same for the other UTI's. Well on his last one he had they did a surgery to get the stones that would not pass they also wanted to put him on a prescription cat food well with three cats that would get a little pricey and we were on a tight budget. So we turned to different foods and found our brand that we could afford and it was this one. My cats loved it and the greatest thing about it is it's been at least 2 years of starting the food and we have no more problems with my oldest and the two other cats have never had a problem. If I met someone with the same problem I would defiantly suggest this product in a heart beat. Thank you for making this food and bringing back my youthful cat back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Snaps is accident free! My niece's male cat had two urinary infections. He was peeing in the bed and they were washing and washing linens and feeling frustrated. I asked her if vet had ever said anything about crystals in urine. NO! My daughter has a male cat on a very expensive food and so I told my niece I would look into getting Snaps a food that would help with crystals in the urinary tract. I found Purina One UTI. I read the glowing reviews. I ordered. It had been a week of Snaps on UTI formula and he has no accidents and my gosh, he must be feeling better, and his owners too! They have 3 cats so all cats will be on same food. Now, my next mission is getting my daughter to switch brands as hers is 3x the cost of Purina One UTI! Thank you!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Our kitty. We absolutely love Purina One, urinary tract dry food. Our cat Gary, was taken to the ER vet a few years ago for having a blocked urinary tract. They gave him a 50-50 chance of survival regardless if we brought him home or left him there at the vet for a couple of days. They suggested that we give him the Royal Canin brand which although is good, the price is insane and he really didn't like the flavor. When we found out that Purina One had what he needed at a better price, and with the okay from our regular vet, we have been giving him the wet food and the dry food for the past couple of years, and he does great every time he goes back for his follow-up and vet visits. Purina definitely saved our cat's life.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My cats wouldn't be alive if not for this food I have multiple cats with urinary problems one in particular had suffered numerous blockages as everyone else has committed the food that the vet sells is horribly expensive, and none of mine would eat it. One of the vet techs suggested this product and have been feeding them this ever since it's affordable and all of my cats love it and no more uti problems I would highly recommend this product. Would love to see more coupons available as i am buying the largest bags you make 2x per month. Thank you for making a product I can feel good about feeding my cats. I also have a dog that eats the purenia one dog food and she is doing much better on it. Wonderful products !

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Purina One Saved my Cat’s Life I have given my cats this formula for well over ten years now, ever since one of them was diagnosed with crystals in his kidneys due to a urinary tract infection. The prescription food was very expensive so the veterinarian suggested that I try this formula. Never again did my cat have this problem. A few years later, I took in a stray cat who looked very emaciated and after a couple of days I realized she had a UTI because there was blood in her urine. This food cleared that up. I enjoyed her for many more years. I now have two cats and this food is all they get. And my two dogs? They get Purina One Small Bites for Dogs. I don’t take any more chances with my pets.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from MIESHA & KRAMMERS NEEDED FOOD We had a couple kitty's that had special needs. One, Miesha, was a rescue kitty that had been hit on the road and saved, Krammer was a farm kitty that we saved and made a home kitty. They both needed a special diet and Purina came though with flying colors. The urinary tract formula was great. They both enjoyed it and lived a healthy life til they passed on. We miss them dearly. Now we have Peanut, our precious kitty, and she fills the void with her own share of memories. But nothing will replace the other two, they hold a special place in our hearts. If there are special needs for food, Purina can help foot the bill.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Urinary Health Improvement. Vet suggested using Purina Urinary Tract OTC in lieu of purchasing RX Purina to save on expenses. The formulary was nearly identical. The cats like the feed and their urinary x-rays are reflecting phenomenal/encouraging results. Especially my oldest cat that was in severe tract failure. My hats is off to Purina!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from best food for the cat with urinary issues ! My cat smushy like my cat tigger both of which were orange and whit tabbys had urinary issues . As everyone is aware visits to the vet are very costly and prescription foods are just as costly and most times not as affective as they claim ..I'm a single mother of two with three cats who just happens to be a vet tech .... So I've listened to my vet and paid the high prices blah blah blah but when the economy fell to pieces and my office downsized I was left jobless and couldn't afford expensive Rx foods for them so I needed a solution I always trusted purina for my pets food so one day standing in shop rite I saw the urinary tract health formula and thought why not give it a try ...? Well it worked fabulous... My tigger loved it and was no longer suffering to urinate and he loved the flavor he was on it for years, he was almost 20 years old when he passed away so recently when my youngest cat smushy had to be unblocked do to the same urinary issues ,which is very expensive and an all together awful situation my vet referred to the old Rx food once again ... Well when your faced with it initially you listen to the vet blah blah blah this food is different and will help him lose weight and blah blah blah and it's like 30 $ for 5lbs your like ok and when it dosent work your like what was I thinking so I went back to old reliable purina urinary tract health blend and what a difference still a little pricey but better than 30$ for 3lbs .... I love this product !!!!! I believe in this product !!! I totally recommend you give it a try if your kitty's are suffering and your at your wits end and need a solution...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Saved my cat!!! When I first found out my cat had urniary problems I was devastated. They offered me a super expensive cat food that I could not afford I thought I was going to have to give her away. Than I searched and found Purina One Urinary tract. Within a week of going in for her surgery and being on this new food her stones had almost completely dissolved. They surgery was a failure because they managed to get a stone stuck. But with the food she has been completely cured no more urinary problems that means I get to keep my baby!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Reasonably priced & great quality food for my cat! My cat has urinary tract problems (crystals, stones, etc.) and I can't possibly afford the expensive brands of dry cat food especially made for this feline condition. Purina One Urinary Tract Formula Dry food is reasonably priced, GREAT quality, and my cat eats it without any problems. PLEASE DO NOT STOP MAKING THIS SPECIFIC TYPE OF DRY CAT FOOD - IT IS HELPING MANY CATS WITH THIS CONDITION. Thank you so much Purina!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Keeps my old guy alive! As other reviewers have said, this food saves my Sunny's life every day. Several years ago we almost lost him to kidney failure. Fortunately, our vet actually recommended Purina One and we brought both Sunny and the food home together. He is now 13 years old and has never had a repeat kidney issue. Thanks Purina for keeping our fur family together and healthy!

Just like me, he is planning his next meal.He has a nice shiny coat and keeps a healthy weight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My cat loves this food! My kitty went to the vet ER and was diagnosed with sand like crystles in his urine. The vet gave us some prescription food that he hated and wouldn't eat it so we didn't know what to do until a friend told us about Purina One urinary tract health. Now my cat loves it and is eating again. It's also way cheaper than the prescription food. Thanks Purina!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Purina One Urinary is a Life Saver My male Ragdoll was on his way to a urinary blockage due to a heavy build up of crystals. He and his two brothers love it and after four years, no urinary tract problems.Thank you Purina!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I Can't Switch After a 1k vet bill and almost losing my cat from a serious UTI that he developed symptoms what seemed overnight, I tried a lot of foods and this is the only one that he has had no system trouble with since. Recently, I tried switching so I could get my dog and cat food at one store and his system started to act up again. Never again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Switching back I have tried many dry cat foods since I have four grown cats but my oldest cat age 9 pees more than all 3 cats together. Purena One seems to lessen this problem and I do not go through cat litter like with other brands. Changing her cat box every day is expensive. They all love Purena Susie QOne. So I am switching back. Thank you.
