Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great taste My Lab, Cooper, was having intestinal issues and the Vet said to change the protein he eats. For some reason the Chicken protein in his food did not agree with him. We tried the Sensitive System Salmon food and it has made a world of difference. Better stools and no longer having the issues he had with Chicken. His coat is so shiny and he is beginning to put back on the weight he lost. He is such a happy, energetic dog now. Thanks Purina.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stopped Bailey Sue from itching!:-) I adopted a black lab/shepherd mix several years ago. When I first got her she was very itchy. I was feeding Purina sensitive systems to my cats. So, I thought I'd give the dog food a try. Instantly the scratching stopped. She loves the food. Also, I am always told her fur is SO soft and silky.Thank you!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good for the price My Australian Shepherd has a very sensitive stomach. He and my other dog will eat anything I give them, but his stomach gets upset from any high corn content food. Lately there are many new "grain free" dog foods on the market, but they are extremely expensive. I do beleive the "sensitive system by Purina One" is a better product than the "Pro Plan" version, but it is much harder to find and costs more. I don't know the difference between the 2 since they are both from Purina, but I think they like the Purina One better, and the Ausies coat seems thicker and healthier when eating the Pro Plan vrs Purina One. Either way, purina is offering us 2 good options for a decent price compared to the other companies out there.But... since almost everyone sticks with a brand for life once they find one that works, I think we should see more rebates and coupons to help out with high prices these days.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Only formula that keeps my retriever's "itchy flares" at bay Like most Retriever/Labrador owners can probably attest, ours have always had at least some level of ongoing skin allergies/sensitivity. However, it wasn't until our 3rd pup that I noticed it to be a more serious issue and started researching to find some answers. Our 2 year old retriever has had what we call "skin itchys" pretty much from day one. We started putting olive oil over his food but saw little improvement. It wasn't until I took him to a new vet that she suggested steering clear of all chicken and beef products. So, we tried this out as Purina has always been our go-to and I saw the sensitive label. It wasn't long before we saw a vast improvement in our golden's skin (along with a few baths to wash away the itchys in the process). He finally wasn't gnawing at his skin anymore! We switched it up and tried the lamb and rice formula as well, but noticed the flare-ups again so we had a pretty good incling this was solely due to his diet. (He also has a history of yeast-related ear issues too, so we think that may all be related). As soon as we put him on this, that also seemed to improve. His ears no longer have a potent smell or irritation like they used to. If you are struggling with skin allergies like us, particularly what seems to be a yeast/dry food ingredient trigger, do yourself a favor and GIVE THIS A TRY!!! Our dogs - (the 2 year old retriever and our 14 year old retriever as well, who we thought would turn his nose to anything new) - will never eat another food again because of the overall benefits we have seen in his skin and coat since. Sidenote: If you're finding that you can't get them to eat it, maybe you have an overly picky pup or just have spoiled them like we tend to do ;) - find what they WILL eat and mix it in in moderation. For us, they LOVE coconut oil! So we just melt less than a tablespoon amount and drizzle it over when needed. POOF - they gobble the entire thing and get the added benefit of the coconut oil without even realizing it. THANK YOU PURINA ONE FOR THIS FORMULA AND FOR KEEPING IT AFFORDABLE!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Improvement I have my 9 y/o 20lb terrier on this because he has a rash and this has a different protein than his other dog food (regular Beneful). This has not helped for the rash.BUT...it really has opened my eyes and I will continue to use the product. Since I started him on this food, I haven't seen him vomit (knock on wood). The other food, it was something that happened at least once a week. It was just getting worse; it seemed as though everything provoked vomiting (a vigorous belly rub, a small piece of ice) things my dog likes that I couldn't give because I know he's going to throw up after. This food has worked wonders and it's the least I could do for a dog that is already uncomfortable with this rash. BTW the rash is doing a bit better but that's because I shampoo and treat him with antibacterial and antifungal dog products, have a flea preventive and discourage licking and scratching by putting a baby garment on him.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great price and quality My dog Nemo had allergy testing done and came back strongly allergic to chicken, dust mites, and storage mites. I was previously feeding a different brand but decided to switch to Purina because I trust their quality control and Nemo's storage mite allergy made that very important. His stools are better with grain, so I was very pleased to find a formula that is completely chicken and poultry free WITH grain. Nemo LOVES the taste and gladly switched to the new kibble. His allergy symptoms are clearing up and I am very happy to have found a food he enjoys eating that won't affect him negatively, and I can easily buy it at the pet store.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great food Rosco our bloodhound/lab mix that we rescued has done real well with this food. I started feeding him a more expensive food, but wanted to find something more economical. At 4 cups a day, it gets expensive! After trying a few other less expensive brands (which worked well Brittany but not Rosco), I found this food and it has been a great match. He is very healthy, loves it and I get a lot of compliments on how soft his coat is. The only downside like someone else mentioned is the dog/fish breath.....lol! It can be a little difficult to find in major retailers (Walmart, Meijers), but fortunately there are a lot of pet stores around that I can purchase it from. I also agree that it would be nice to find some coupons for this food, it sounds like it has a prety dedicated customer base.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best food yet! I have 3 dogs total, my two that have issues are American Bullies. My female is allergic to nearly everything and has always had patchy fur and chews herself raw. We tried high end expensive brand dog foods, prescription dog foods, everything and nothing helped. We then were recommended to try this by our vet and within just 2 weeks saw a HUGE difference. My male also suffered from loose stools, not ever fully formed and many tests were done to make sure no parasites or infections were causing it, once we started feeding this food that resolved fast too. I LOVE this food and will never get anything else again. I would highly recommend this food to anyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The ONLY food my 10 year old black lab can eat!! I started feeding my almost 10 year old black lab, Kokanee, Purina One Sensitive System Salmon formula about two years ago.... This all started when she was diagnosed with canine acid reflux disease... She couldn't keep any food down, especially anything with chicken or lamb....so by raising her food dish, and switching to this Purina Sensitive System formula...she's been doing great and hasn't had to take her acid reflux medicine. She is a happy, healthy senior citizen who loves her Salmon food :)I think the only thing that I have to complain about is that there is only one place I can find the food in town.. which means sometimes they run out and I have to buy more than a bag at a time to secure not having to feed her a interim food...I rave about this food- and I'm so happy it's not made from corn, fillers and other things that make her sick.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Recently switched - Extremely Happy! Recently I switched from "Blue" to this product. I was very happy to see that Purina had Salmon, as my two Pit mixes love the Salmon from "Blue". I needed an affordable alternative and did extensive research before switching to Purina Smartblend for Sensitive Systems. Both my dogs have allergies and sensitive stomachs and switching is never a good experience. BUT--THIS FOOD IS UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!! We have noticed their coat shines like never before! Also, they don't pick their head up from their bowls until it's gone and barely can contain themselves when I'm scooping it into their bowls! They have had no complications at all when switching and they seem livelier and their coat is like that of a prized stallion!I HIGHLY recommend this product for the optimum health and happiness of your dogs!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from FINALLY a food that ALL of our Huskies can enjoy! After spending hundreds of dollars trying to figure out WHY our huskies had diarrhea (we thought worms, parasite, etc) we finally learned it was their dog food :/ So we started with a bag of some expensive dog food and kept trying different brands until we found Purina One Sensitive Systems (we should have known to start with them in the first place). Now ALL four of our huskies can eat the same foods without an upset stomach or diarrhea afterwards. We've never seen an advertisement for JUST the sensitive systems and I think it would def. benefit Purina to do so... had we seen a commercial for it, we probably would have tried it first :) Great Product and I DEF recommend it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The search for my best friends food is finally over!! My rescue Pitbull has terrible stomach issues along with multiple allergies, very dry skin and hip/shoulder/joint problems. After 2 adult years on another brand's lamb & rice formula, he became intolerant to it. He was on an expensive vet prescribed diet then I transitioned him to a specific brand that was for sensitive stomachs and expensive. He was allergic to something in the new food so I took him to the vet, a NEW VET. More antibiotics, steroids & medicated bath's.. But the greatest thing happened that day, the vet told me about this dog food! He said he gives it to his dog's & highly recommends it for dogs like mine with stomach/allergy problems. Not vet prescribed, not insanely expensive! I can find it at my local Walmart without difficulty. "Rocky" has not had any problems at all with this food. He loves to eat it, no allergies to it, he digests it well & doesn't have loose doggy poo anymore!! I do still supplement him with additional fish oil and glucosamine and chondroitin as discussed with my new vet, but that's because his other medical conditions are rather severe. We are so happy that our search for a safe & nutritious dog food is over!! Thank you Purina!!

I tried special much more expensive percribtion diets giving no relief and made of corn.Sensitive systems FISH was recommended to me by my Vet and if I give my dog only this NO other dog treats or people food HIS Problems are COMPLEATLY gone!I do give him frozen green beans and frozen carrot slices.I wish they would make this in can also. Please never stop making this food.Another nice thing they sell it at Kroger and I don't need to run all over town to find it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from product based I got my puppy RJ when he was 8 weeks old from a friend who took on a stray that was pregnant. Other than routine puppy issues he was great. At his first vet appt he had "nasty ears" and was put on an antibiotic and an ear cleaner......long story short 7 months later, 6 (pill) antibiobics later, 4 (ointment) antibiotics later, and several OTC ear cleaners later, my vet finally recommended Purina One Sensitive Systems. He was allergic to chicken. A month after switching his food he was all cleared up and has had ZERO problems since then. His ears have remained cleared and his skin and coat are amazing. We love this food and would never switch to anything else. He's a happy and HEALTHY 2 1/2 yr old now!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best food yet We have always had bad luck with any dog food that contains chicken. Our dog, Lucky (R.I.P.), was allergic to chicken and would break out in hives. We had a time finding food for her that would not upset her system. Wish Purina ONE Sensitive Systems Salmon would have been around when she was here. We now have two dogs, Jimmy (mixed breed) and Jack (Jack Russell). Jack has sensitive skin and is always scratching, so this food works well for him. Jimmy will eat anything that is put down in front of him, so it is nice not to have to purchase different food. One thing we noticed when they are on Purina ONE Sensitive Systems Salmon they do not have 'fishy butt', which is a real plus!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Difference We were spending $60-70 on a 24 pound bag of food. It was grain free and excellent quality, but our one dog has issues since adopting him from the shelter. We decided to switch to a different food that had grain to see if it was something in grain free that didn't agree with him. He had major skin irritation, yeast infections, and ear infections that developed. The vet gave us medication that improved his condition but worsened after we gave all the medication. Since switching to purina, not only is the skin irritation gone, all his hair has grown back! We noticed the only common ground between the foods we were feeding was pea protein. We are almost positive our dog has some type of allergic reaction to peas and that's what was causing his issues. Some of purinas ingredients are not of the same as the food that's more expensive, however our dog is doing better and that's all I care about.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sensitive Systems calmed my dogs itchy skin My three mini schnauzers had very itchy skin before switching to purina sensitive systems. They previously rubbed and chew parts of their skin raw. Their itching has just about completely stopped since switching foods. We are thrilled with purina sensitive systems and would recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow! We tried a free bag of food as a skeptic but not we love this food and would recommend it to anyone. One of our dogs is a diabetic and the other dog we were told that he would never walk again. The diabetic dog has maintained his numbers and after taking the other to a chiropractor and using this food, he acts like a puppy again. Both dogs are 6 years old.Thank you for such a great product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Saved my dog's life. I have a dog that is allergic to chicken and just about every product on the market has chicken in it. I spent months trying to figure out the exact cause of my dog's illness, several trips to the vet only to find out the dog was getting sicker on their advice and medicine. Once I figured out the cause then the next problem was to find food she could eat. I have spent a lot of time standing in stores reading the ingredients labels and was elated to find PurinaOne for Sensitive Stomachs. My dog is now healthy, gained all her weight back, and has all her energy back. Thanks for saving my dogs life.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exceptional Salmon based Food I have a German Shepherd, a collie, and a lab. After several bouts of tummy issues I finally went to a grain free food. That corrected their tummy troubles ... to the tune of about $2/lb for the brand we were using. Being on a budget but still seeking a quality food, I tried Sensitive Systems since it was salmon based just like the overly expensive grain free brand. It agrees with all of my dogs, eradicating all of their digestive upset. It IS difficult to locate ... however, one of my local Petsmart stores has exceptional management, and they always reserve a large bag for me.I am so pleased with this formula that I am even contemplating transitioning our Ragdoll from that super expensive brand to Purina One cat food.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No more "fish butts" My jack russell ate about anything i put in front of her, no digestive issue, but she's always had problem with gland not emptying when she goes to the bathroom. So once every other week, it would suddenly "leak", very unpleasant, it gets on the carpet on her bed etc... This salmon based purina one sensitive dog food is the ONLY kind, i repeat, the ONLY kind that has solved her problem. Since switching about a year ago, not a single fish butt episode ever!My other dog rottie/lab mix has a sensitive stomach, along with the fish butt issue. With other kinds of dog food, he sometimes throw up the entire content about a hour after he eats it, also problem with diarrhea and fish butt. Again, since switching, no more fish butt, and rarely rarely does his stomach gets upset anymore. Another bonus- he has the most beautiful shiny black coat now! Gets compliments on it all the time. One minor complain- cost is a bit high, wish it is more affordable with a 40 lb bag offered. Since jan 2014, the supply of this dog food has been so low in all my local grocery store and pet supply stores, what is going on? Would love to see more manufacturing coupon on Purina one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My English Springer and Cocker Spaniel both love this food!!! It has been hard finding a food that both of my babies like and agrees with their tummies. This one fits the ticket. The Cocker has always had issues with what she eats and has had no problems with Purina One.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The only food that keeps my Corgi's system balanced! I have a 7 year old Corgi with allergies. My vet has had me try several different much more expensive dog foods and the outcomes left me with an itcy and smelly, not to mention miserable animal.I had used Sensitive Systems a while back, but the vet wanted me to try something new and I did.. Now I am back with the Sensitive systems and I saw a complete change in Peedee's skin in a matter of days.I refuse to change him again...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stomach issues resolved with Sensitive System Our 2-1/2 year old German Shorthair Pointer came to us from the Animal Humane Society at 11 months. His diet at the shelter, as well for his first six months with us, was Chicken and Rice Purina One. After several bouts with upset tummy issues, we switched him to the Sensitive System line and Tahoe has since been bout free. There were no issues switching from the Chicken and Rice to the Salmon - Tahoe eat it readily. We recently gave him a sample of the new One beyOnd line with no side affects and will probably switch over to that when the existing food runs out. Like the idea of natural ingredients in dog food.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent dog food We have an English springer spaniel with some pretty crazy allergies. This is the only food we found that made the issues go away. We even tried the super expensive blue buffalo and didn't get results as good as this food has given us. We recommend it to anyone and everyone. Saved our dog.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent for recurring ear infections. Two of our dogs, one a golden and one a beagle, kept getting ear infections. The vet said that they could be caused by food sensitivities. So, I started searching for a food that was reasonably priced and the dogs liked. We have been using Purina One Sensitive Symptoms since then and no more ear infections!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cost of product We have been buying Purina One Sensitive Systems for years. We have four Jack Russell's who are very picky about what they eat, so I cannot substitute a different brand, they will catch me on that. I buy the 31.1 pound bag. This is the best dog food on the market. I was hoping to find coupons for this brand and can never find any. There are always coupons for Purina dog food everywhere. Is there a reason why you don't offer them on the Purina One ??

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this dog food!! I have two pitbulls with many allergies. If I buy them bad food their seasonal allergies tend to be worse. I had them on this food for quite some time, my only problem is finding it! I have to drive almost an hour if I want them to be on this. I've bought multiple bags before, but it still adds up to have to drive that far. I am able to order it locally, but its $8 more a bag. Because of all of this, I have switched to the lamb and rice. Anyone that has a dog with allergies knows how awful it is to change foods, especially after you find one that works, but I am able to find the lamb and rice for around the same price locally. I would recommend this food to anyone with a dog that has allergies, but make sure its sold near you first :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sensitive Systems literally a life saver When I adopted my dog Lily, 6 years ago, I learned the hard way that arctic dogs often suffer from digestive issues. She refused to eat, and had become dehydrated. Thankfully, I found Purina One salmon and rice formula. Within days she was feeling better. She loves the taste, and her coat is shiny and beautiful.
