Nanette Martin has made it her mission in life to change the way people see shelter pets.
After documenting the Hurricane Katrina animal rescue effort in New Orleans, she began photographing animals in the shelter system to accelerate their adoptions. Since then, she has photographed over 8,500 homeless animals. Her images have increased traffic to shelter websites and facilities, which has in turn led to increased adoptions rates, some as high as 100%.
Nanette has an uncanny knack for capturing the true quality and personality of the pets she portrays in her stunning photographs. We are very proud to be partnering with her in our quest to change the perceptions of shelter pets.
